Editorial and Testing Methodology
How DeepSeek Harness Link verifies sources, records versions, labels registry data, corrects errors and separates directory evidence from runtime testing.
Source hierarchy
Official DeepSeek product pages, the deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness repository and published package metadata are primary sources. Maintainer discussions, issues and community posts are secondary evidence and are labeled accordingly.
Version-aware tutorials
A technical guide records its checked date, Harness version or commit, operating system and material runtime assumptions. Updating a build timestamp alone does not change the visible modified date.
Plugin review labels
Registry sourced means the name, description, category and install path were taken from public project records. Runtime tested requires a successful installation and recorded functional check. Security reviewed requires a separate permission and dependency assessment; no current profile carries either stronger label.
Reproducible evaluations
Benchmarks must publish the task, model, provider, Harness profile, hardware assumptions, sample size and raw or summarized output. A single successful anecdote is a field note, not a benchmark.
Corrections
Material corrections change the updated date and add a short note where the original conclusion could have affected a reader’s setup. Cosmetic edits do not reset freshness signals.
